Senior Functional Project Coordinator

Description:

The companys Payments’ department (part of Operations) has implemented a common infrastructure and operations for SEPA Credit Transfers – in production since January 2008 – and for handling SEPA Direct Debits – in production as of November 2009.

The companys Payments’ department has implemented as well an infrastructure and operations for handling international (non-SEPA) electronic payments and has put in place an infrastructure for handling customer support requests.

We are actively searching senior (functional) project coordinator that is able to support the companys Payments to execute several projects to improve and upgrade the Payments infrastructure and operations, during the full life cycle of a project: scope definition, business requirements gathering, functional analysis, (functional) testing, user acceptance testing, deployment and maintenance.

This (senior) project coordinator will have to demonstrate a specific profile described below.

Objective:

  • Plan and coordinate projects in the Fortis Payments department
  • Contribute to the Scope definition and Requirements gathering phase
  • Coordinate and prepare tests in the Payments area

Knowledge:

  • Required level and content of education
    • University graduate or Graduate.
  • Personal skills
    • precision and clarity (oral, written)
    • communicative (with team members and with IT colleagues & other partners) – sound knowledge of English is a must
    • experience with team leading
    • coaching skills
    • flexibility (in peak periods extra efforts may be required; willingness to work hard)
    • fast learner

    • ability to compromise on solutions with multiple parties (Business, IT)
  • Business experience required
    • minimum 3 years of professional experience in banking, as project leader in a project environment
    • minimum 3 years of professional experience in banking, as project leader in a project environment
    • knowledge of SEPA payment
    • knowledge of domestic payments
    • knowledge of international payments
  • Technical experience required
    • affinity with IT systems and processes
    • ability to work with IT department to transfer & explain specifications to developers
    • experience with a banking package is a plus
  • Functional experience required
    • experience with planning and structuring a project, identifying and assigning all relevant tasks that need to be executed to ensure the success of the project
    • experience with a project planning tool (such as ‘Microsoft Project’)
    • expertise in functional/technical analysis, test preparation & execution, roll-out support (‘V-model’)
    • ability to work with IT department to sign-off IT developments during the integration testing phases
    • risk awareness (judging severity of incidents)
    • experience with defects and incident management
    • experience with change requests management

Language:

English and French and/or Dutch is required (spoken & written).

Duration:

30/06/2010 with possible extension.
